Back from holiday and going back to school!
Well, I'm back!
The holiday was amazing! We went to a zoo, and I managed to touch a koala. They were so adorable! 🐨 I also tried chicken and mushroom dumplings, and even though I hate mushrooms, I actually really enjoyed them!
We also climbed up a mountain, which was exhausting but really cool. We went to a theme park and went on a few rides. We went on a water ride and got absolutely soaked! My brother was so lucky because he had a hood, and I was in front of him — literally at the front of the ride, which I regretted so much! Luckily, it was hot, so we all dried off pretty quickly.
We went down to the beach, which was really close to where we were staying, and I collected some shells to take back. There were some really big ones, and I had to go knee-deep into the water to actually grab them. I don't know why, but I was super scared to pick them up in case there was something underneath them!
We went to the city for the day and went on a 3-hour boat trip along a river. The sights were amazing, and I took lots of photos.
The next day, we went whale watching and saw two whales! I'm so glad I layered up, though, because it was cold — and it was 8am! When we were heading back on the boat, the whales kept showing up, and their flukes kept flicking up and making such a big splash. Unfortunately, we were so far away that we couldn't actually see them properly, which was a shame.
After the boat trip, we went to Sea Life and got to touch a starfish. They felt really weird, kind of like a textured rock, I guess. We also saw some seals, and they were doing one of those training shows with them. It was so cool seeing how they could train them to actually do all those things!
After that, I started packing for a surprise 3-day trip. We had to be in the car at 7am, and I had no idea where we were going! We took our car onto a boat and arrived at an island that had no signal and was completely away from all the city life.
We got to our apartment, and the views were awesome. I did a hyperlapse on my camera, and it turned out super cool!
We went dolphin feeding, and I had to hold a dead fish. It was just staring at me really weirdly, which creeped me out a bit, not gonna lie. 😭
We also went parasailing, which was absolutely terrifying! I was really pleased because I managed to avoid getting dunked, but Dad got his feet in the water, which splashed all over my face. It tasted disgusting! 🤢 But it was such an amazing experience, especially as someone who isn't scared of heights...
Well, that pretty much sums up the entire holiday!
Did you do anything exciting? Anyone back at school yet?
